Norlo Park – In 1998 Guilford Township began developing this area along the south side of Route 30 at 3050 Lincoln Way East near Fayetteville, PA. The park area is more than 140 acres. It includes a farmhouse, barn, community center, railroad cars, walking paths, picnic areas, playground, soccer fields, and other recreational areas. Conococheague Audubon has office space in the farmhouse, and established and cares for a native plants garden near the farmhouse.

Conococheague Audubon’s Native Plants Garden.  Our Norlo Park Committee has worked tirelessly since 2004 to establish and care for the garden of native plants. Grants from Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation and Wal-Mart helped to pay for the plants, materials for the bulletin board, and water feature. Guilford Township, the Borough of Chambersburg, members, and other volunteers also helped to establish and take care of the garden.   Additional information about native plants for your garden, that will attract birds, can be found at Audubon Plants for Birds.

Conococheague Audubon’s Native Plants Garden is located next to the Community Center, below the barn and farmhouse.

Birds of Norlo Park Conococheague Audubon members have observed more than 30 bird species at the park in or near the native plants garden.
