  • Meet: Keener’s home, 5207 Heisey Road, Shippensburg.
  • Destination: area near Heisey Road Orchard.

  • Meeting place: Park & Ride, Scotland Exit 20, I-81 northbound.
  • Destinations: Heisey Rd Orchard and Michaux State Forest.

  • Witness the annual mating flight of these woodland birds with Bob Keener.
  • Bring flashlight.
  • Be prepared for tall, wet grass.
  • Meeting place: Park & Ride, Scotland, Exit 20, I-81 northbound. Meet at the Park & Ride at 6:45 PM, or go directly to Heisey Road orchard on your own and be there by 6:55 PM.
  • Destination: Heisey Road orchard. Note: birders are welcome, despite the Posted signs.

Dr. Doug Tallamy, will present his program Nature’s Best Hope, at the Luhrs Performing Arts Center, 475 Lancaster Dr., Shippensburg.  This event is in conjunction with Shippensburg State University’s participation in the Worldwide Climate and Justice Education Week, held April 1-8th, and is funded partly by Pepsi Sustainability Funds. Free and open to the public. No reservations required.
